Announcement Module
Branded announcement presets for your divisions
The Announcement Module lets you create reusable, branded announcement presets for your divisions or units. Each preset can include accent colors, optional header/footer images, and ping roles — posting a briefing takes seconds.
Setting Up Presets
Before anyone can post, an admin must create at least one preset using /announcement wizard.
Each preset includes:
- Display Name — The division or unit this preset belongs to (e.g. "OSI Strike Team")
- Accent Color — Optional hex color to theme the announcement embed
- Header Images — Optional. Up to 5 styles, each with a label (e.g. "New Briefing") and a banner image
- Footer Images — Optional. Up to 5 styles, using the same labels as the corresponding headers
- Ping Roles — Up to 5 roles to mention when posted, or an @everyone toggle
Presets can be edited or deleted at any time from the wizard.
Posting an Announcement
Pick a preset and choose whether to ping roles.
Title (required), Content (optional, markdown supported), Banner Style (if multiple headers are configured), Custom Image (optional upload between header and title). Headers and footers are not required — presets work without them.
The announcement posts to the current channel with content, role pings, and author credit. Header and footer images are included if the preset has them configured.
Editing an Announcement
Only announcements under 48 hours old can be edited, and only by the original sender.
Right-click (or long-press) the announcement → Apps → HelNet → Announcement Edit.
