Challenges Module
Create, manage, and grade server challenges with frequency controls
The Challenges Module lets admins and designated managers create server challenges that members can complete and submit proof for. Frequency controls prevent farming — each challenge can only be completed a set number of times per time frame.
Setup
Run /setup modules — Challenges is on the last page. Toggle it on.
After enabling, hit the gear button beneath the enable/disable toggle to open Challenges settings.
Set your Manager Role (who can create, edit, delete, and grade challenges — admins always can) and your Notification Channel (where submission notifications are sent to staff).
Creating Challenges
Run /challenge in any channel. If you are an admin or hold the configured manager role, a Manage button appears in the top-right corner. Hit it, then hit Create.
Each challenge has:
- Name — The challenge title displayed to members
- Frequency — How many times the challenge can be completed in a given time frame (see below)
- Description — Optional details, rules, or instructions for the challenge
Frequency
Frequency controls how often a member can complete a challenge. It has two parts:
Submitting a Challenge
Run /challenge in the channel or forum post where you're submitting proof. Hit the Submit button. When the bot notifies staff, it includes a direct link back to the channel the command was used in.
When submitting, you can tag up to 3 other members who completed it with you — the submission applies to all of them.
Grading Submissions
Staff receive a notification in the configured notification channel with two buttons:
Passed
Locks in the submission permanently and enforces frequency limits. The member cannot re-submit until the frequency window resets.
Failed
Rejects the submission and unlocks the challenge so the member can retry.
